    • Excerpt: Triple 9 boasts an exciting ensemble of stars, but it’s too wrapped up in the machinations of its banal, faux gritty crime story to let it shine.
  • Mark Dujsik @ Mark Reviews Movies
    • Excerpt: There’s simply nothing challenging about this storytelling.
  • Courtney Howard @ Sassy Mama In LA
    • Excerpt: Hillcoat’s final product is only slightly above a passing grade, feeling slightly redundant of HEAT, THE DEPARTED and THE TOWN.
  • Brent McKnight @ The Last Thing I See
    • Excerpt: While what you see on screen can be fantastic—the action scenes, especially, are enough to warrant a watch—but as the film ends on a freeze frame, you can’t help but think Triple 9 could have been something great instead of just okay.
  • Simon Miraudo @ Student Edge
  • Darren Mooney @ the m0vie blog
    • Excerpt: Officer down.
  • Kristy Puchko @ Comic Book Resources
    • Excerpt: “Triple 9” is an original heist thriller that will pull you to the edge of your seat and leave you breathless.
  • Frank Swietek @ One Guys Opinion
    • Excerpt: An exercise in dreary cynicism… It’s hard to imagine a picture that’s more of a wallow in corruption and nastiness than this.
  • Andrew Wyatt @ St. Louis Magazine
    • Excerpt: Whatever Triple 9 might lack in narrative focus, it makes up for in its intense, textured take on the ensemble urban crime drama form.
