    • Excerpt: Two genuinely good performances just isn’t quite enough to save the film. It’s enough to make it watchable, but for a dramatization of what is easily one of the biggest moments in Israeli history, the film makes it feel like a mere footnote.

    • Excerpt: Director Chris Weitz wants the mood to hover toward intrigue rather than despair. A story about Adolf Eichmann’s World War II atrocities can easily make the audience choke up and douse us in the heaviest of drama. Not so here, Weitz includes jokes and deliberate mood lighteners creating a precarious levity to avoid offering up a weeper.

    • Excerpt: Well-intentioned but overt, Operation Finale is a timely reminder of the Holocaust, the men behind it, and the group who brought a war criminal to justice.
