Online Film Critics Society 2017 Award Winners!

The race this year was tight, and for a good reason. There were so many films made by minorities (females, people of color, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, etc) about minorities. They presented important stories, perspectives, and much needed social commentary. OFCS Announces 20th Annual Award Winners

2016 ONLINE FILM CRITICS SOCIETY AWARDS – WINNERS PRESS RELEASE The powerful coming-of-age drama Moonlight dominated the 2016 Online Film Critics Society Awards, winning a total of four awards out of seven nominations. The film beat out competition from La La Land, Arrival, Jackie and Manchester by the Sea amongst others to be named Best Picture. OFCS Announces 20th Annual Film Awards Nominations

La La Land and Moonlight top the nominations for the 2016 Online Film Critic Society’s Awards with 7 nods each, including Best Picture and Best Director.   With 6 nominations apiece are the critically acclaimed Arrival and Manchester by the Sea.   Films also up for Best Picture include Jackie and Hell or High Water.   Casey Affleck’s performance in Manchester by the Sea heads the Best Lead Actor category. ‘Mad Max’ Earns Top Honors from the Online Film Critics Society

Mad Max: Fury Road won Best Picture from the Online Film Critics Society (OFCS) today as the group celebrated its 19th awards. Starring Tom Hardy as the title character alongside OFCS nominee Charlize Theron, Mad Max: Fury Road is about a post-apocalyptic world where water scarcity has led to intense conflicts. The Online Film Critics Society (OFCS) – the oldest and most prominent society for online film critics in the world – recognized the year’s best films with nominations for their 19th annual awards. Carol and Sicario led the race with six nominations each. Mad Max: Fury Road and The Martian followed with five nominations apiece.
